Our 6 Gallon Desktop Nano Amano Fish Tank Aquarium

This is a 6 gallon desktop aquarium, it is an ADA (Aqua Design Amano) from Aqua Forest Aquarium in S This is a 6 gallon desktop aquarium, it is an ADA (Aqua Design Amano) from Aqua Forest Aquarium in San Francisco. It is done in the Takashi Amano popularised Iwagumi (Rock Grouping) Nature style. I designed the layout myself. The substrate is ADA Amazonia 2 mixed sizes, small and medium size. The plants are hemianthus callitrichoides (small ground cover), Micro-Sword(green in right corner), Anubias Nana Petite (small green left corner with shrimp in it), Marimo Ball(ball of algae on the rock), and a Cryptocoryne? Wendtii Bronze? Unsure of that one, in the back left corner. The animals are Chili Rasboras, otherwise known as micro-rasboras, and licorice micro-rasbora, Dario Darios Scarlet, Red, Blue, and Yellow Shrimp, Otocinclus, and Various snails. The filter is a ZooMed 501 Turtle/nanotank canister filter (it's AWESOME and silent). The light is an Archaea International(the in-house brand of Aqua Forest Aquarium) High Output LED with white and blue, this is a great fixture that has 6500k or so Bright White light that is superb and very power efficient for a planted tank, especially a nano-tank. I have set up some custom moonlights from an LED manufacturer on Ebay, I have 2 wide beam bars with 4 blue LEDs and a 6 LED narrow spotlight. I have the lights on timers, to have 12 or so hours of sunlight, and 4 hours of moonlight, we dose the tank with SeaChem Excel which works about as good as an expensive CO2 setup and has an added benefit of algae(the bad kinds, my Marimo is ... 1 Gallon Saltwater Aquarium and Globe Ecosystem

1 Gallon Pico Reef, 1/2 gallon sealed SPS reef tank, 19 gallon bog terrarium globe, 75 gallon plante 1 Gallon Pico Reef, 1/2 gallon sealed SPS reef tank, 19 gallon bog terrarium globe, 75 gallon planted tank with Co2 injection. Keeping ecosystems in odd containers changes the chemistry and dynamics interestingly and has a direct correlation to evaporation rates, nitrate binding or export, and temperature stabilization to name a few. For example, a fluted vase design allows for an inner-diameter resting lid, which changes the salinity and saltcreep maintenance drastically vs any other shape. It also provides an angled surface for detritus accumulation, which is easily wiped for maintenance and this is (nitrogen) export. A small square palmtop design, with an internal plant sub-division, becomes the first and still the only longterm sealed (non evaporating) coral reef aquarium, growing acroporid coral specimens into 3 inch tabular forums documented over a two year course. Shape matters in pico reef design, and pico reef design matters to marine biology as a whole because it influences coral morphology, allelopathy, and new observations for science unique to hyperconcentrated niche environments. thank you for stopping by! I invite everyone to discuss the biology or problems associated with any aquarium care, and feel free to link your own micro reefs if you keep them. Anyone who would like to research pico reef history can start at Reefs.Org and Reefcentral around 2002 and nano-reef.com These forums paved the way for the explosion in popularity and are 95% of the existing ...
